Battlefield: Hardline Multiplayer Open Beta Next Week
People partied, children rejoiced and EA had the chance to redeem itself.
Towards the end of last year we had the opportunity to play Battlefield: Hardline’s multiplayer. It’s ok; close enough to Battlefield’s roots so as to not alienate long time fans, but also different enough so as to stand on its own, away from the mainline Battlefield games. It did achieve both of those goals to some extent, but now EA are opening their doors, or at least their Beta, for the public to play.
Battlefield Hardline’s multiplayer beta will be running from February 3rd to February 8th on Origin, where you’ll be able to download the game and enjoy it (we hope) for a few days. You’ll play three modes across three maps (the previous beta had just one) and get a chance to wet your appetite for the game before the full release.
We expect the beta to be about a 10 gig download which you can start preloading at 10am PST (or 6pm for us UK folks) on February 2nd to save some set up time so you can just dive in when the beta launches.
Battlefield: Hardline is due out in March after being delayed at the end of last year, on March 19th for America and a few days later for the rest of us.
